Hi all.

I would like to thank all those that contributed to what I think was a very successful event. To the ladies who ran the food line, a very big thank you from me. Partners please pass on our gratitude for their help.

The excitement the door prize raffle created was fantastic to see. Many grown men like kids in the lolly shop. I hope everyone that was fortunate enough to win was happy with their gifts. Maybe we can do the same thing at the mid year dinner, one for committee discussion and maybe contribute $100 or so towards the next lot of prizes.

The presentation of the certificates to the new members could probably be extended to any who gets a licence or upgrades. The three recipients were pretty happy with the recognition of their efforts. It goes a long way from the club showing how we as group appreciate the time they have personally sacrificed in order to climb the radio ladder.

It was sad not to see Peter Watts there. There was also a couple of others missing. Gerry and his wife and children arrived late and missed the food, don't know why maybe a missed communication there or something, anyway that he be invited to the mid year do making sure he gets there on time.

Graham's gift of a Yaesu repeater was an extremely unexpected surprise. It puts the club in a good position to now have a primary and a standby 2m system.

I have touted the idea of a Park and BBQ day somewhere in mid January as we have no meeting until the end of January, if I can get enough people interested I would like to try and make this work. Finding a park that's not too far for people to travel whilst being electrically quiet is what I am looking for. If anyone else is interested in this idea or helping with some suggestions please let me know. I'm more than happy to do a rece and test setup to see how it will go.

Merry Christmas everyone, stay safe .
