Get Out Do Something (GODS) day at Pandappa Conservation Park VKFF-1131

VK5 Forum will be hosting a Get Out Do Something (GODS) day on Thursday 20 June 2024 at Pandappa Conservation Park VKFF-1131.

This will be a day trip a couple of hours up the road.

For those that bought their antennas to the Picnic in the Park day last month this is the perfect opportunity to bring those antennas along and see how they do.

VK5GM will be bringing toasted sandwiches, tea and coffee for a $6 charge. We do not profit from this modest fee, it all goes back into the kitty to provide better services next GODS day.

There are some logistics to be worked out even though its only a couple of hours up the road. Not everyone has the ability to drive there, so we can work on some sort of car pooling system. Details such as the time we will leave, where we will meet and leave from are still to be worked out. There will be a planning meeting on the VK5RHO repeater 146.850 on Tuesday night 11 June 2024 at 2000HRS (8PM) for those interested

This thread would be the best place to organise the car pooling. Throw your car pool buddy some money for fuel and Graham some money for food and beverage and for $20 you have a day out.

Another good day was had by all.

Managed 22 contacts in about 30 minutes. We could smell the rain coming in and managed to get a good 2 hours in, lunch toasted and all packed up without a single drop of rain hitting us.

Radio noise was non existent which made for a wonderful morning of dxing.
