Graham Kimber VK5GM talk about his journey into Amateur Radio

[VK5PRO]

I'm over the moon with you effort Graham, I held no doubt that you would succeed with this long awaited step in your life dream, enjoy your retirement to the fullest, now you wont need to focus on the "voices" others hear, you can now deal with the voices you hear.

First off I would like to offer Graham Kimber VK5GM the clubs congratulations on gaining his Advanced Licence. A marvelous effort that takes time to learn and a not so small expense to get up and running these days. Welcome to our club Graham.

Many thanks to Graham for his hastily arranged talk about he got into Amateur Radio starting from when he was a kid building crystal radios finishing with his TV fixing days. Old TV's are interesting and dangerous and it always makes me wonder how many unsuspecting "I'll fix it" individuals fried themselves on the live chassis back in the 60's and 70's. During the talk Graham described the myriad of jobs he had done through the years including scuba diving and a swimming coach.

Once again Graham congratulations on joining Amateur Radio Fraternity.
